Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Measure Cards is a reference app that runs on your device. This policy explains what the app stores and how it is handled. The short version: everything stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud, and none of it passes through my hands.

Data Collection

Measure Cards stores the following on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account:

Measure Cards has no accounts and no sign-in. It asks for no name, no email address and no personal details, and it has no way to identify you.

iCloud Sync

Measure Cards uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your favourites, your own words and your practice history between your iPhone and iPad. That data lives in the private database of your personal iCloud account and is protected by Apple's security measures. I cannot read, recover or share it.

iCloud sync is optional. With no iCloud account signed in, the app works exactly the same; your data simply stays on the one device.

Analytics and Tracking

Measure Cards contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind. I do not know how many words you have practiced, which ones you find hard, or whether you opened the app today.

Network Use

The app makes no network requests of its own. Every measure word, example and audio recording ships inside the app, so it works with no connection at all. The only network activity comes from Apple's own frameworks: iCloud sync, and the App Store when you make or restore a purchase.

Audio

Recordings are bundled with the app. Nothing you tap to hear is requested from a server, and no audio is recorded from your device — the app never asks for microphone access.

Purchases

Measure Cards Plus is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never see your payment information. The app asks Apple whether the purchase exists and unlocks accordingly; that is the whole of it.

Data Sharing

Measure Cards does not share your data with anyone. Nothing is sold, rented or transmitted to third parties, because nothing is collected in the first place.

Data Deletion

You can delete words you have added and clear favourites at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored locally. Anything synced to iCloud can be removed through your iCloud settings.

Children's Privacy

Measure Cards does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It collects no personal information from anyone, and everything stays on the user's own device and in their own iCloud account.
